I’m getting called by 0800 0641081 all the time. T mobile told me they can’t bar it and that if you call it you get charged 40 p min as 0800 is only free form a landline. This is what these shites are counting on people getting confused over. Complin to Ofcom or Icstis (pre rate industry watchdog).

Is it seriously 40p to phone a 0800 number from your mobile?

Same thing happening to me although a different number - 01179166570 keeps calling all the time. Have registered with Ofcom and called them (on the number above) and asked them to remove my number…still no change…so bloody annoying.

You can phone up BT and have their number barred as well. If enough people complain to ofcom they will press legal charges apparently.

I have also been called by 01179166570 saomeone called Nick as well as from two mobiles: 07900 362 412 and 07814 832 130 and a private number. Have asked them to stop calling me to no avail. I am registered with TPS so hopefully that should stop them.

I’ll think you’ll find the 01179166572 is a authorised upgrade centre of orange and they are paid by orange. I upgraded my handset through them and it has been noting but amazing customer service, infact it was better service than I got from Orange thereselves. There are a lot of dodgy companies out there but this company is not one of them. Although I had a few months still left to run on my contract I was able to upgrade early because I was a high spender. I have changed my Tariff with these guys and I now save over 40 pounds a month. I am very pleased with this company

01179166572 are not only phone spammers, but the comment above is clearly written by them. It’s a shame that some businesses decide to bottom feed with intrusive and dishonest volume sales techniques.

i also had a call from ecoute communications and was sold a upgrade. i spoke with orange customer services regarding the deal i had been sold and they told me ecoute were nothing to do with them. I called ecoute to cancel and spoke with one of there customer service agents who explained that they activley seek orange customers and make them aware of being able to upgrade early. Orange have never contacted me regarding a early uograde. Im thankfull ecoute contacted me, i was going to pay a excess charge of £30 via orange for a new one on the insurance as my original had broken, they saved me this charge and supplied me with a better mobile phone. I found the process extremely easy, i recieved the phone the next day. All in all very pleased.

Ditto on the number 0800371104 (0800 371 104)she tried to keep me on the line stating she had my company details, it was private home number, I put the phone down - thanks for the tip, will definatley report nd bar this one

To poster above Danielle, 0800 371104 is YELL.com. I just called that number back too and they’d phoned to see if my business’ details were correct in the Yellow Pages etc .. If you’re listed with them, then don’t get that number barred as it’ll stop them from contacting you to confirm your company’s listed details in the YellowPages.
